Summertime is just starting and we are all looking for ways to maximize our outdoor space. Here are some ideas that will give you a memorable summer with your family and friends, and will save you money!
Throw an outdoor party.
What better way to enjoy your own outdoor living space than to have a party for all your friends and family to enjoy? Crank up the music and serve great snacks for everyone to enjoy! You can have a themed-outdoor party to make it more interesting. You can try having a luau or a pirate-themed party – this is something enjoyable for both the children and the adults. You can let your imaginations run wild. At the end of the day, you are sure to have a memorable patio party and you are also able to put your patio to great use!
Have your own improvised outdoor movie theatre.
If you want to have a different movie experience, try setting up an outdoor movie theatre and invite your neighbours and friends. Find a good spot in your yard, rent a movie projector, and hang a white sheet to project the movie to. Spread a blanket on the ground for the kids to sit on, and you can add comfortable lounges for the adults. While watching the movie, you can serve freshly-made popcorn and cool drinks for everyone. Everyone will surely thank you for coming up with this relaxing summer activity!
Set up a camp fire.
If you want to have a camping experience for your kids, then you don’t have to drive for miles – you can do it right in your own outdoor living space! Nothing says ‘outdoor experience’ more than having a fire pit. You don’t have to invest a lot of money in an expensive model; you can try making your own. There are several tutorials online. To ensure the safety of your guests, make sure that you follow all instructions carefully and make it large enough for everyone to enjoy without having to come in close contact to it. If your guests want to stay for the night for that complete camping experience, have them bring and set-up their own tents. This will definitely be a fun experience for everyone!
Enjoy the rays of Mr. Sun.
If you want a more relaxing activity – one that does not require a lot of people coming over – then have one whole day for sunbathing activities. If you have an inflatable kiddie pool (or your own pool even!), have that set-up and just let the kids play around. Spread out your beach towels or use your lounges to have the sunbathing experience of your life. Prepare some snacks and don’t forget the chilled beverages to give you that ‘summer getaway’ vibe.
You don’t have to spend a lot just to have some quality time with your loved ones. Make sure you maximize your own space first before heading out to other destinations.
