- July 1, 2015 Canada Day – Country Town Carnival
Celebrate Canada’s birthday from noon-10 p.m. at Victoria Fields (345 Watson St. W.) This family friendly event is free to attend and will feature a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Canada’s flag. Visitors on that day will enjoy community displays, live entertainment, and children’s activities will be available from noon-8 p.m. Food vendors will be on site, and fireworks begin at dusk.

Enjoy family movies under the stars at Whitby’s Movies in the Park this summer. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready to enjoy a different movie on each date. Movies are held at a different park on each date. A concession stand is available on site. Selections for this year are as follows:

July 10-12, 2015 4th Annual Whitby Ribfest
If you love ribs, chicken and pulled pork cooked to perfection outdoors, then you won’t want to miss the 4th Annual Whitby Ribfest. Ribbers from near and far will be in attendance to tempt your taste buds with their offerings. - August 15, 2015 Harbour Day
Whitby Harbour Day is a family event held at Port Whitney Marina (301 Watson Street). Check out the ever-popular Dragon Boat experience, water ski shows, Sailing School demonstrations, children’s activities, Station Gallery kids’ program and live entertainment. Food vendors will be on hand, and the day will wrap up at dark with a Nautical Parade of Lights and a fireworks display!
